I was doing some screen captions from the match against China and at some points, I was amazed at how close the cameras were from her and how long they stayed on her. But, we won’t complain, will we? Those icy grey blue eyes mesmerized millions of persons each night during those 2 weeks.

Between the Sheets
Cheryl is an ardent reader of psychological book on mental side of sport. If she is known to be quiet and intense on ice, talking about sport psychology isn’t something she is quiet about, but she is certainly intense.
Which leaded her, with the great collaboration of Guy H. Scholz, to write a book called “between the sheet: creating curling champions” published on November 2005.
In fact, this isn’t just a book like the other sport book. If it helps curlers to get better and improved their games, this book is also about teamwork and developing a person.
You can also read it if you are a Cheryl’s fan: there are some interesting details that reveal more about her, but I frankly think that in addition of those few facts, there is a lot to learn from it, that you are a curler or not.

Picture of the day
1996: the tournament of hearts. We are going back in time of 14 years. Lots happened since, but she hasn’t changed that much: same great smile, same energy. This is a tournament she has yet to win. It is then, that she had her best result, making it to the final. She was teaming up with Karen Ruus, Barb Sherrington and Judy Pendergast.
She didn't play this year, because Team Bernard was getting ready for this Olympics, but my little finger tells me that the best is yet to come.
I would like to thank Bill, who allowed me to use this picture. He was lucky enough to even get her autograph.

Picture of the day
It was a very important point at the eight end of Team Bernard's match against Japan at the Olympics. There were 3 Japanese stones on the center of the house all in position to score and there she was, throwing her last stone so perfectly that it got as close as it could be near the button becoming the shot stone. This is one shot among many Cheryl did this year.
