Vancouver 2010 Review

It was with this quote from Susan O’connor that started my blog : "Cheryl is the reason we're sitting up here now, she's the reason that we're at the Olympics," said O'Connor. "There is nobody in the world that I would rather have throwing last rock."

It was not even a millimeter, but when the match was over, the whole world would have hugged Cheryl Bernard. At the end of the journey, it was a great silver Medal and even thought the gold was so close, there is no shame on bringing home Silver. You Guys are champions in the heart of millions and make us Proud.

See some images from the final on these past treats.

Vancouver 2010 - Screen Caps - Final - Part 2

I feel for a picture treat, so there it is! Screen caps of the silver match at the Olympics. Some great images but they sure tell a lot about how our girls felt during this final that no one will forget. Expect more to come as there are 7 more ends to freeze in time.

Pictures Treat: wearing the Maple Leaf

I’ve been missing those photos treats, haven’t you? Maybe it is because i am a photo girl, but I just like images. When the season started, we were about to review the comments of Team Bernard after the silver medal match. To put us in the mood, here are some pictures took during the interview I am going to present tomorrow.

Interviews Treat - 2

This is after the medal ceremony. We see in this video that the skip had been answering those questions several times, containing her emotions better, but we also notice that she can’t still believe what had just happened. It is important to know that the team hadn’t really sat and talked together at that point.

Interviews treat - 01

I have a dozen of interviews regarding the gold medal game versus the silver medal and I am going to share some with you. The first one was done right after the match, where the emotions were still raw and not settle in. Then it didn’t take long for Team Bernard to regroup and realize what they had accomplished.

Today, not the easiest, far from it, but one thing for sure, the whole world would have hugged the Canadian skip.

Vancouver 2010- the last match

Here we are: the final match at the Olympics! On the next few days, i’ll be posting stuff related to this last match, on which Team Bernard settled for Silver. There were ups and downs that evening and it was a millimeter that made a big difference. But if they didn’t get to the highest place on the podium, they are champions in the heart of millions.
