Remembering Roar of the Rings

There are lots of things to say about the performance Team Bernard shown at this Roar of the rings to earn their place at the Olympics. I could write several paragraphs just about it. They had such a great run losing only one game, which didn’t have much importance since they had already a place strait to the final. But let’s start with those pretty pics, and some quotes from our Skip. I'll add information about it, for those who missed it, or just want to see it all over again.

"Don't be heavy," Bernard said with a laugh. "That's what I was thinking. You just have more adrenalin going and I just tried to throw it and not think what this was for. I was a little worried but then it began to curl and I knew it would grab.

"It's amazing. I don't know what to say. My team was incredible. They did everything they needed to, and they kept calm."

"We've lost a lot of heartbreakers over the years and all that was for this," she said. "And that's good. Whatever it did, all the losses were worth this win. All those years. I've got a lot of them. Am I going to be the oldest Olympian?"

Grey Power Players' Championship

It has been a incredible year for team Bernard. That would be fantastic if the confidence gained after applying their vision to the game would finally bright them their first slam. The field is not easy, several strong teams, this is a triple knockout formula, but hopefully, they kept the momentum on their side and will perform at their best. And at their best, they are the best!!!

Good Luck, Team Bernard. I am sure lot of people will cheer for you all. I will, from my living room!

Olympics Wallpaper

One thing for sure, those Olympics were inspiring!

Tournament of Hearts Wallpaper

Some of the best captures took during the Tournament of Hearts from the 2009 edition. What is great with pictures is that there is always a way to make them feel new again. Those are a bit more then a year old, quite recent I'd say! Cheryl was blonder, but she didn't change much: she always had that unforgettable gaze that is somehow intimidating and shows such a determination. And, images say a lot, there are some here screaming : "haaaaaaaaaaard", like only Cheryl can.

This year, Cheryl and her team were getting ready for the Olympics, so , they didn't participate to the Provincials. They considered playing it but they choose to aim on the Olympics preparation, which paid off, winning a silver medal. The Scotties was held from January 30th to February 7th.
