What’s up Cori?

She went on her own, with another team, but to all Team Bernard fans, and the other 3 women and coach of the prior Team Bernard, there is always going to be something special about Cori because she will always be the lead that was part of that team Bernard that became Olympians and Silver medalists during this hectic Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

She is in a junior camp this weekend helping out kids and promoting curling. She said some words to the media and talked about her experience with Cheryl, Carolyn and Susan.

Oh and the Leduc Curling Club is hosting the 2012 Alberta Scotties from Januarty 25th to January 29th.

An exciting new season coming up in 2011-12

Everybody was talking about it but nothing had been confirmed until now. Tomorrow, Cheryl Bernard will announced officially her new squad. Mixed feeling of parting ways with dear teammates Cori Morris and Carolyn Darbyshire, but those four ladies will remain friends forever. They were ready for it and a new team Bernard will be formed for the new season and a lot of excitement comes out of it.

Alberta Scotties Update

A great 6-5 win of Team Bernard over Team Nedohin. It was a great game, very close and at the end, they had to measure which rock was closer of the button to know the winners. That was for a berth in the championship semifinal against Team Kleibrink.

Team Bernard started strong today with a 10-1 win over Team Sonnenberg. Hopefully, they will carry the momentum on the next game against Team Owen.

It is true, Cheryl Bernard is going to appear in the 2011 women of curling calendar. Everybody is entitled to change their mind, and there is no better reason to do so for a good cause. Cheryl is in great shape and healthy and this is the image the project is going to show. I know when and where this photo shoot was done and definitively know what kind of pic it is going to be, but we will have to wait for the calendar to see the final result. In an earlier entry, i talked about the fact that Team Bernard didn't have any sponsors but didn't mention it again since the Official Facebook page as covered it. In brief, Team Bernard took a unique approach to attract sponsors. Starting yesterday, a picture of the team is displayed on Billboards on major road in Calgary.
