Canada Cup starts tomorrow

Yep, tomorrow, Medicine Hat, Alberta, Cheryl and her teammates will be on the ice at 8.30am (MT) for their first Match against Team Scott. I wish i could be there, especially that matches won't be shown on TV before the semis. If you ask me, the qualifications matches are quite something to see. I wish we could have more. You can read more about the Canada Cup or consult the 2010 draw here. But before the excitement starts, here are some captions from the video they used to promote the events.

Between the Sheets Update : Billboard campaign a huge success !

In the entry, Cheryl talks about the sponsorships deals Team Bernard made after their gusty initiative to have their face plastered on Pattison Billboards around Calgary. This approach paid off and the team members are really proud to add Dairy Queen and Airdrie Chrysler as sponsors.

Cheryl participated to Miracle treat day this year and she mentioned in this entry that the team will be present on the next year Miracle treat day, happening on August 11th, 2011. You might want to visit these pages related to this year event: video, photos and quotes. A must see!

Go the Canadian Curling Association website to read about Cheryl Bernard's new update.

Canada Cup Draw

Less than 10 days before the Canada Cup which will be held from December 1st to December 5th in Medecine Hat, Alberta. For those who’s been longing to see the foursome in action live on TV: that might on THAT weekend. TSN got the contract so I doubt the qualification rounds will be presented on local TV, lucky you if they do.

You can read more about Team Bernard’s performances at the Canada Cup on previous entries. Let’s make no prevision or no comment about this edition and cross our fingers that this draw will be a good one for Team Bernard. There it is along with a couple of images from last year edition.

Cheryl guest Speaker at EDA Economic Partnership Breakfast

This Tuesday, November 16th, was held the EDA Economic Partnership Breakfast at the Leduc Recreation Center in Alberta. Cheryl was a guest speaker at the event and talked about her Olympic Experience and how sport is important for the economy. 300 business leaders were there to hear her speech. There were 2 adds going around for that event, posted below! Pretty similar you'd say but I thought why not?

Terry Fox Run Picture

We all remember that back in September –time flies- Cheryl, along with her mother and some of her friends, participated to the Terry Fox Run. Cheryl was the spokesperson for the organization this year; they thought she was a role model symbolizing courage, perseverance and athleticism. You can read all about here on prior entries. But if i talk to you about the Terry Fox Run today is that i found another picture to share about this off ice event.
