Interviews treat - 01

I have a dozen of interviews regarding the gold medal game versus the silver medal and I am going to share some with you. The first one was done right after the match, where the emotions were still raw and not settle in. Then it didn’t take long for Team Bernard to regroup and realize what they had accomplished.

Today, not the easiest, far from it, but one thing for sure, the whole world would have hugged the Canadian skip.

Team Bernard Encore

Those “Olympics encore” left me on my appetite, and I am probably not the only one. For those like me, who follow Team Bernard for quite a while, I think I speak for most of us telling that we wanted a little more than just matches. I thought, they would add some contents like interviews or some sort of getting to know that would show the world why team Bernard is so special.

So, for the next couple of weeks, for my pleasure, and I hope for yours to, I will make my own “Team Bernard Encore” starting right now with the up close and personal interview they gave during Cup Canada in 2009. Most of you have seen it, I’ve seen it myself numerous times over this year and a half but those videos belong in this blog. I hope you will enjoy seeing them again.

Radio Interview with Cheryl Bernard

Last week, The Fan 590, Toronto’s Sport Radio Jeff Blair and John Shannon were lucky enough to speak on the phone with Cheryl Bernard on their Prime Time Sport show. The main subject was the already famous upcoming event next January: the skins games against Kevin Martin. They also talked about the Olympics, the amazement around it and how her life changed since then. You can find it on their website, but since I can save it and download it, I thought of keeping it safe in this blog. Just click and enjoy!

Picture in the video is a courtesy of my friend Bill: Thanks for sharing your autographed picture with us!

Cheryl on Off the Record

Yesterday, Cheryl was on TSN’s Off the record. They talked about the Skin Games Team Bernard are going to play in January against Team Martin. Then, they went on with that « next question » trivia: questions about the tattoo, how many push-ups she can do, what she likes the most about the Olympics, her meeting with Wayne Gretzky and more.

I never particularly like that guy, but Cheryl dealt well with whatever he threw at her. Some screen captions and a tiny little video but no worry, if you missed it, you can find the complete interview right here on TSN website.

*edit 20/07/2010: seems the video is no longer available at the TSN website. I'll see what i can do about it and probably will post it in here in 2 or 3 parts. Stay tuned!
