DQ Fundraiser for the Children’s Miracle Network

In the beginning of March, during the Brier, Cheryl Bernard will be around Saskatoon for different events. Her first stop will be at the Stonebridge Dairy Queen from 5pm to 7pm on March 5th to raise money for the Children Miracle Network. If you are around the area then, don’t hesitate to stop by.

Carolyn Darbyshire will participate in Miracle Treat day

To generate excitement around Dairy Queen Miracle Treat Day, a number of hospitals will have activities a day or two before the main event. So, on August 9th, at the Calgary hospital, there will be a blizzard celebration with some famous athletes on the 4th floor theatre and kids are looking forward to that event. Carolyn Darbyshire, our unforgettable second of the Olympics silver medal team, will be there! The activities start at 11am to end around 3pm.

If you are located in Regina and plan to give a donation during the Miracle Treat Day happening on August 11th, there is a chance that you might see Cheryl Bernard. She will be at different locations during the day, see the schedule below for a chance to help the Children, meet Cheryl Bernard and have a blizzard! All I see is a win win situation!

Dairy Queen will try to break Guinness Record

Dairy Queen will celebrate their 30th anniversary on Tuesday, May 10th, and they won’t blow 30 candles on a cake. No, they will take advantage of the opportunity to assemble the biggest ice cream cake ever done and will try establishing a Guinness World Record in the process. It will weigh 21,000 pounds. This will happen in Toronto and Cheryl will be there. The event is free but every penny you donate goes to the Miracle Children Foundation. Toronto is the host city: visit them at Yonge-Dundas Square.

Cheryl serves and… eats Blizzard for a good cause

When Team Bernard won this Olympic silver medal, they said they we will try to do something good with it. Since it is hanging around her neck, Cheryl is in demand. Choosing her cause with her heart, Children remain on the top of her list.
To add information to yesterday’s post, Global Calgary Morning News met Cheryl about Miracle treat day. She explains to us that all money from Blizzard go to support the children miracle network. Seems the day was a success and lots of people passed by and donated for this good cause; « DQ miracle treat day » and the benefit goes to the Children Hospital in Alberta. We also learned a couple of things about our skip and if you want to know which blizzard is her favorite, well, she is going to tell you about it in this short video. Celebrate Miracle Treat Day with Cheryl Bernard

Yes, that’s tomorrow. Cheryl will be at Olympic Plaza on Thursday, August 12 to celebrate Dairy Queen Canada’s 8th annual Miracle Treat Day and the Blizzard’s 25th birthday!!!! Dairy Queen will be handing out 1,500 Mini Blizzards between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at Olympic Plaza in exchange for donations to the Alberta Children’s Hospital and Cheryl will attending the event.

Dairy Queen’s Miracle Treat Day is a one-day, national charity drive with one hundred per cent of the proceeds from all Blizzards sold donated to support Children’s Miracle Network children’s hospitals.

Children's Miracle Networks

The Children’s Miracle Network Champions program honors remarkable children who have triumphed despite severe medical challenges. Tobin Haas is 10-year old cancer survivor and a Patient Ambassador at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. Today, Cheryl and other celebrities paid him a visit and participated to the launching of a new charity program.
