How to be a better Curler

This weekend, the Scotties will start. We, fans of curling, will watch it, and that includes members of Team Bernard. As Cheryl says herself in a radio interview once, it does help improve your curling to watch some no matter your level.

Victoria Classic Update

Today was a busy day: Cheryl had a chat with Al Ferraby of the CFAX-1070 radio station in Victoria: listen to the interview below! That was this morning at 7h50am + a curling match few hours later in which, let’s say it, Bernard was badly beaten 9-2 by long time nemesis Shannon Kleibrink, after giving up a costly 5 points in the sixth ends.

Tomorrow’s match up against Team Law and it is a must win to go secure at least a tiebreaker, and most possibly a spot in the playoffs.

Last week, The Fan 590, Toronto’s Sport Radio Jeff Blair and John Shannon were lucky enough to speak on the phone with Cheryl Bernard on their Prime Time Sport show. The main subject was the already famous upcoming event next January: the skins games against Kevin Martin. They also talked about the Olympics, the amazement around it and how her life changed since then. Portage's Olympic Hero Returns

Saturday May 15th marked a big day for Portage la Prairie. Not only was the city one of numerous sights for the "World's Biggest Social", but Portage also welcomed home it's Olympic hero, Carolyn Darbyshire.

Carolyn talked about how thrilling it is to come back to her hometown and that the whole Olympic experience was one she'll never forget. She signed autographs at the Portage Curling Club before taking in the social, celebrating Manitoba's 140th birthday and the Manitoba Homecoming of 2010.

John Lewis Radio Interview with Cheryl Bernard

It was about twelve on February 27th and Cheryl did this interview with John Lewis, Australian Radio Interviewer, 3 hours before settling for silver at the Olympics.

Cheryl was interviewed yesterday morning and it were 20 very interesting minutes with our favorite Skip. They talked about the Olympics and the experience around it. They also talked about the importance of winning the last tournament of the year and few other subjects including their schedule for next season. I will quote her in a later post.
