Yep, she won, and she certainly deserved it : the most valuable player of the year. This award, voted by the players, were presented to the skip Thursday during Draw 10 of the Grey Power Players' Championship, the season's final Capital One Grand Slam of Curling event.
She earned her first women's MVP award for all the good work accomplished leading her team to a silver medal at the Olympics in Vancouver.
"It's a pretty special award to win," Cheryl said. "I couldn't do it without the three people behind me and our coach. So it's kind of something you accept as a team rather than just as an individual. It certainly means a lot coming from your peers."
Now, if they can show us some pictures about the actual tournament and the award presentation, that would be very nice.
